Family Reunion
The boys and I headed to Vail Iowa for the Dieter family reunion. Where is Vail, Iowa you ask? Between Carroll and Denision of course...so in the middle of nowhere. But this weekend it was filled with Dieters! The boys and I had a wonderful time, Max loved playing with all the cousins. He didn't want to go home :(

Happy Fourth of July!
We celebrated the fourth early in Slater since the weather report said everything was going to get rained out today. We headed out to the parade which was great fun. They also had kids activities and snowcones and some incredible pizza! Enjoy the pictures.

We went to the Fourth of July parade in Slater. First parade that Max and Riley have been to. Max loved the free candy! It was a wonderful time - small town Iowa is so charming.

Long Walk from Parking
We had to park in the Ames High parking lot and walk down since there was no room. Note to giant red waterslide in the background...
Ames' New Waterpark
Max and I went to the new waterpark on Thrusday try out his new skills in the water. The weather was just perfect, and it wasn't that busy considering the holiday. Max had a blast and we tried all the activites except for the big red slide since you need to pass a deep water swimming test to go down that one. He wasn't too sure about the medium water slide either, since you go under the water when you hit. Once was enough for that one.
